The Journal of Applied Computing and Information Technology (JACIT) is an open-access online journal with a focus on new and emerging research related to applied computing and information technology. The Journal contains a range of articles - double blind peer-reviewed papers, invited papers, views, opinions, reports, book reviews. It is published by the Computing and Information Technology Research and Education, New Zealand (CITRENZ); its target audience includes academics, students and industry practitioners - based primarily (but not exclusively) in New Zealand, and working in the areas of computing, information technology and information systems.
JACIT is an Open Access Journal, and individual authors retain their intellectual property rights. We welcome submissions from established authors but particularly encourages contributions from new researchers and students, especially from those in postgraduate study who are also employed in the field.
The Journal is published in electronic format only. Refereed articles are subject to a double-blind review process, involving at least two anonymous reviewers. Reviewer names are published.
In 2010 the publication "Bulletin of Applied Computing and Information Technology" (BACIT now merged into JACIT) was included as a ranked journal by the Australian Research Council (http://www.arc.gov.au/era/era_journal_list.htm) and in Computing Research & Education (CORE) conference and journal rankings (http://www.core.edu.au/). BACIT is an Open Access Journal, (DOAJ # 11764120), and is also indexed in the EBSCO Online research database.
